Avenir Light is a clean and stylish font favored by designers. It's easy on the eyes and a great go-to font for titles, paragraphs & more.

Visual Blooper

This is a picture of Thomas the Tank Engine in an old wartime photo. Unfortunately, I do not know where the photo of the men is from, but I do know I was able to find it on Google images. Thomas was also from Google images. The original idea for this project was to create something that shouldn’t belong, and that vague idea evolved into this. The process to make this image was simply me cutting out Thomas and making him transparent, and then slowly erasing the parts that would be behind the soldiers. After that, I applied a filter that made him black and white, and then added the small pick man in the corner. I’d say altogether this image came out pretty good, all things considered.

For this project, I decided to create my image around the idea of ownership with AI-generated art. I began by grabbing images from “TopArtPrint” for a bunch of famous paintings that I could then slowly erase the edges of, making square pattern-looking shapes to give the feeling of it being cut out. I used five different paintings from the website to create the image of the Mona Lisa riding a horse between the hands of “The Creation of Adam”. I then took a stock photo of a man. From “ pngtree”, I removed his head and arm, then sketched a robot pointing. Then, I colored it digitally and filled in the gaps with my drawing. I did all this to show how ironic it is to claim you made a piece of art with AI when at no point did the AI or the company using it use a single piece of art that was not theirs.

Post Advertising Example

For this project, I made an advertisement for General Electronics. In the ad, I made an image of one of their washing machines next to the M134 machine gun, which they produced for the military. Under it, I put the slogan Keeping you safe and clean since 1982.’ My goal with this assignment was to create a believable advertisement that wouldn’t look unusual at a glance. With the slogan under it, I hope to make it a more realistic advertisement. Most of the images I used for this were from Amazon, but for things like the washing machine bolts and others, I found most of them on these respective websites: Weaponsystems.net, Fastenright.com, Nflandis.com, www.ssent.com. My main struggle with this image was getting the text to line up. The text box kept snapping to Pacific areas and did not wanna align with anything, which resulted in most of the texts not lining up and being uneven.

Monster Movie Poster

For this project, I wanted to make an old movie poster that had been added to over and over again to poke fun at the fact that some movie studios have a hard time letting a popular IP go without making 5 sequels and a remake. To make this image, I had my brother wear a Halloween mask in the dark while I held a flashlight next to his face. After that, I cropped him out and put him in a black background, and used another photo of him to add one eye to the skull, but made it hard to see, so it didn't stick out. After that, I used Procreate to add the text because the last time I used text in Photoshop, it would not line up. This also allowed me to add details to the word wood so I could make it look as if it were made out of actual wood. I then added a glow effect to the creatures to make them stand out more on the black background.
